About the Conference

Welcome to the 13th CTTE and the 10th CMI Conference. Internet of things (IoT) is an emerging area with far reaching implications for future telecom infrastructures, applications and accompanying business models. This interdisciplinary conference will include sessions on technical, techno-economic and business aspects of Internet of Things. The conference will also include issues related to trust, security and privacy. Contributions from academia as well as industry are welcomed. Participants will come from the academia, businesses and government agencies.

All accepted full papers presented at the conference will be submitted to IEEE Xplore. Selected papers will be invited to be extended and submitted to the special issues of journal Netnomics (Springer) and Nordic and Baltic Journal of Information and Communications Technologies (River Publishers).

We welcome submissions covering both technical and techno-economic aspects of ICT systems including but not restricted to:

  • 5G technologies
  • IoT application areas and technical requirements
  • IoT impact on network requirements
  • Smart cities/smart homes
  • Privacy aware tools
  • Security Frameworks
  • Policies for security and Privacy
  • Trust and Trust Models
  • Techno-economic analysis of smart applications
  • Cost analysis of networks and applications
  • The impact of network virtualization and cloud computing on CAPEX/OPEX
  • The role of Over-The-Top (OTT) players in the new era
  • New pricing schemes in IoT and 5G network ecosystems
  • New business models
  • Demand / Traffic / Number of connected devices forecasting
  • The economics of spectrum sharing
  • Techno-economic Tooling and Concepts
  • The role of telecom operators
  • Regulatory challenges
  • User requirements

Authors are invited to submit their work to the Joint CTTE and CMI conference 2017 by sending an email to the following address: cmi@cmi.aau.dk

Two types of submissions are accepted:

  • Full papers
    • The full length paper has a page limit of 8 pages with 10 points font size using IEEE template.
    • Accepted papers will be included in conference proceedings.
    • If the paper is accepted, presented at the Joint CTTE and CMI conference 2017, and IEEE compliant, it will be submitted to IEEE Xplore for publication.
    • Authors of selected papers will be invited to extend and submit their work to the special issues of the Joint CTTE and CMI conference 2017 in Netnomics Journal (Springer) and Nordic and the Baltic Journal of Information and Communications Technologies (River Publishers)
  • Long Abstract
    • The long abstract has a page limit up to 2 pages with 10 points font size using IEEE template.
    • The accepted abstracts will be included in conference proceedings.

IMPORTANT DATES

  • Acceptance Notification: 1st November 2017
  • Camera ready: 15th November October 2017
